Food addiction
Another factor that has to lead to many people becoming obese is one being addicted to food. The food that most of us consume today is highly engineered. Besides them being junk, the foods are made with components that have a powerful stimulation to the reward centers of our brains. This can be likened to an individual who is abusing alcohol, cocaine or this other drugs. So when you take these foods, you may experience full-blown addiction which will lead you into wanting to consume it from time to time hence leading to one developing obesity.

Since most of the people nowadays constantly consume medicines on a very large scale, some of the medicines that are bought over the counter can cause one to gain weight as a side effect. For instance, those medicines that are meant to contain diabetes, the antidepressants and in some cases antipsychotics when consumed can cause an individual to become obese.
Lack of physical activity
Lack of physical activity is another factor that has contributed to many people becoming obese. Most people have jobs that confine them to sitting behind the desk for the bigger part of the day. These guys will also mostly drive their cars as opposed to walking or cycling. When they are relaxing, they will either watch television, play computer games or browse the Internet. Most of this things lead to one being dormant, and the lack of physical activity will definitely lead to one becoming obese.
